Junior Programs

Junior programs are run by the Bronte Tennis Club court attendants and volunteers. Those wishing to assist with any aspect of these programs should contact our Junior Programs Director at jrdevelopment@brontetennis.com.

Junior Round Robin Drop-in

This free program runs each Friday, divided into two groups: Juniors age 10 and under are from 4:30 to 5:30PM, and Juniors age 11 & older go from 5:30 to 6:30PM. Court attendants lead the juniors in different activities and games which emphasize skills development while having fun.

Junior Ladder

We are introducing a new program, free to junior members. The junior ladder is designed to give an opportunity to those players who are wanting to challenge their skills and take their play to another level in a more competitive way. Players must be able to rally from the baseline, serve, keep score and be comfortable playing in all areas on the court. Initially, all juniors will be placed on the ladder according to their skill level, and thereafter movement within the ladder will be based on results of the matches played. For those interested in participating, the Junior Ladder matches will be held on Saturday afternoon. Sign up for this program will be at registration.

Parent - Child Tournament

Parents and children (or an adult and a junior) sign-up a week in advance to play three or four organized doubles matches on a Sunday from 2 to 4PM. There are prizes for all players along with refreshments. It’s a great way to meet other members and their kids all while having some tennis fun in a relaxed tournament format. Tournaments are run at least three times over the summer, supervised by volunteers and our court attendants. Event dates will be posted in the clubhouse, as well as emailed to members. Signup is with the court attendants, and a fee of $10 is charged to cover costs.

Bronte Junior Championships

These run in August for club members. For information and registration, please contact the Clubhouse.
